LADY NUGENT’S BREAKFAST 9 September 2018, Bath

Lunch will be in a private dining room at the Pump Room, after which we will take a coach to visit Beckford's Tower with its marvellous views over Bath. William Thomas Beckford built the tower, originally known as Lansdown Tower, in 1827. The nearby Lansdown Cemetary, which was once Beckford's garden, contains his tomb and also the grave of the tower's architect, Henry Goodridge.

We are most fortunate in that we will be accompanied by Michael Forsyth, an expert on William Thomas Beckford (1760-1844) and his ancestors who made the family fortune from their sugar plantations in Jamaica.

Booking via Eventbrite is now open.
