Our next talk will be about the work to restore the Kingston railway station and part of the Jamaica Railway network. Our speaker will be Dr Kevin Brown, Chair of the Jamaican Diaspora (UK).
Dr Brown studied mechanical engineering at the University of Technology (UTECH) in Kingston, and at Nottingham University. He now works for Rolls Royce as project lead in system design for a jet engine programme. Dr Brown has worked with several community organisations in Nottingham, co-founding Springboard, a project that aims to encourage Black boys to pursue tertiary education.
